I am a lawyer, mother, community leader, and lifelong learner.
I grew up in Southern California and graduated from Harvard University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Chicago.
I am a Managing Attorney at The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and previously served as Vice Chair and Commissioner of the State of Illinois Human Rights Commission an Associate at Sidley Austin LLP and a Senior Staff Attorney at the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights. I am also passionate about foreign policy. I was a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Marshall Memorial Fellow with the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
Service is an important part of my life. My volunteer activities include serving as President of Harvard Alumni for Global Women's Empowerment and as a Board Member and Governance Committee Chair of Esperanza, Inc.
